CDL Summer and Fall Onboarding Orientation
Description
This Onboarding orientation is required for all prospective students. Students will have the opportunity to apply for admission and fill out the required background check forms. A drug screen is required in order to gain admission, and an appointment will be scheduled at the onboarding orientation at a location convenient to the student. If you are unable to attend on the following dates and times, please schedule a one-on-one orientation using the following link. Individual orientation
There is an associated $120 registration fee due at the onboarding orientation to cover the cost of the background check and drug screen.

Questions & Answers
- Do I need to have a Commercial Learner's permit to register?
Permits are not required at the time of registration. However, it will be the students' responsibility to obtain a Learner's permit at least 30 days prior to their scheduled start date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in being dropped to a slot in the next available class.
- I am being sponsored by my work, or a county workforce program, do I need to pay anything at the registration?
No, if you are being sponsored by a company or workforce center, you will not be required to pay anything out of pocket. Please ensure that you bring a confirmation letter from the company/workforce center, stating their intention to pay for your classes. Also make sure to bring your company's contact information to streamline invoicing for your classes.
- I can't make it to this orientation, does that mean I can't register?
No, you will however need to schedule a one on one appointment with the CDL program to start the admission process.
- Can I come in late or a different time within the window?
No, due to the content being covered, it is important that you show up at the start of the orientation. Showing up late will result in being asked to schedule an appointment with the program at a later date.
